Facts about the Miss Gibraltar contest you might not know

Over the last few months, PANORAMA, as part of our ‘Then and Now’ series, has sat down with previous Miss Gibraltar winners to reminisce on their time in the competition and Miss World, and to discover what they have got up to in the years since their year of reign.

However, there are many things that you might not know about Miss Gibraltar. For example, did you know that three members of one family have been crowned as Miss Gibraltar? Or that there have been five sets of sisters who have all made it to the top three positions?
Miss Gibraltar first launched in the late 1950’s in 1959, however it then had a four year break before re-launching in 1964. The first ever Miss Gibraltar pageant was won by Viola Abudarham.
