Since its formation last year, the Special Needs Action Group (SNAG) has been campaigning on a wide range of issues affecting people, especially children, with special needs and disabilities.

To learn more, we met with SNAG committee member Eric Rowbottom.
FORMATION OF SNAG
One of the key issues behind the formation of SNAG was a lack of services for children with special needs.
‘When I say a lack of services, I mean therapists, at the time [the new] Saint Martin’s School wasn’t built’, Eric said.
‘Last summer there was a lot of uncertainty for the parents of children with special needs because they knew that they there was a school that was going to be built, but…they weren’t informed of the progress, what was happening, so it was a really bad time’.
