Rock Relay Run in aid of charity

This past Friday October 21st, a group of ten individuals took part in a gruelling 12-hour relay up and down the Rock of Gibraltar, to raise money for charity, Waterloo Uncovered.

The team of veterans, serving personnel and locals began the Gibraltar Rock Relay Run at the Pillars of Hercules and made their way up to O’Hara’s Battery, with pairs running up and down in turn. The relay started at 6am for twelve hours, with an approximate 6pm finish, which worked out at four runs up and four runs down for each pair.
The Rock Relay Run coincided with Trafalgar Day, commemorating the anniversary of the Royal Navy’s triumph at the Battle of Trafalgar, 217 years ago.
