Madrid makes Gibraltar point in international sports treaty

Spain is set to enter a reservation and declaration about Gibraltar in its process of ratification of another international agreement. This time the measure is the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions.


CONVENTION
This is also known as the Macolin (Magglingen) Convention after the city in Switzerland where it was concluded. The Convention was open to signature on 18 September 2014.
