GIBRALTAR TREATY LINKED TO SPAIN’S EU PRESIDENCY

A treaty on the future relationship of Gibraltar with the European Union is likely to coincide with the start of the Spanish Presidency on 1 July. This message, echoed in sectors of the Spanish media, suggests that Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has taken control of the timing after his telephone conversation earlier this month with his UK counterpart Rishi Sunak.
