The not guilty verdict from the Stipendiary Magistrate yesterday brought to an end what had virtually become almost one of the “sub-plots” surrounding former Commissioner of Police Ian McGrail. Although the judge ruled that Mr McGrail was not guilty of sexual assault, there are still other fronts open in what is turning out to be a very long drawn out saga.
LEGAL TEAMIn court, Mr McGrail and his legal team had attempted to draw a connection between the Inquiry into his early retirement and the charges that have been leveled against him across a number of other issues.
