The tragic death at sea of a number of civil guards prompted a series of comments about Gibraltar from Spain’s Interior Minister Fernando Grande Marlaska.

These have marked a refreshing departure from the usual untruths levelled against Gibraltar by other sectors in Spain and it may sow the seeds for improved cooperation in the future.
