The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo QC has at yesterday’s Virtual Cabinet meeting set up a Joint Ministerial team to work towards preparing Gibraltar for the Post Covid 19 world; Task Force Future will be headed by Ministers Isola, Daryanani and Licudi will be tasked with evaluating and preparing Gibraltar’s private sector to be best positioned as and when the economy begins to return to normality. The GHA COVID-19 111 line has fast become an essential filter for protecting Gibraltar’s frontline healthcare services and staff. The sheer volume and nature of these calls has resulted in the need to upgrade the service being provided.
An official statement adds: Our telephone operators are using triage algorithms in order to provide standard advice and decision- making. Read more

The residents of the pensioner block Sea Master Lodge have donated £2,000 to the GHA account for the fight against the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
Chairman Mr Jimmy Perez has confirmed to Minister Linares that the residents have personally contributed to show support to Gibraltar during this time of need. The Tenants Association also contributed money that they had previously collected from bingos and other activities held by them. Read more

The remaining guests at the hostel, only a handful and practically all of whom were young white Europeans, have their thoughts clouded with apprehension. None of them want to be deported, but their uncertainty, coupled with the minimal information divulged by the hostel workers, who haphazardly decided that hiding guests from the police at the bottom of the hill would ease their administrative burden, certainly escalated tensions.
