STOP Non-resident vehicles entering city centre - and that’s half the problem solved
If the Government wants to reduce car and motorcycle pollution, they should prohibit non-resident vehicles from entering the city centre - and that would be half the problem solved without messing up the long-suffering resident population.
This is not a question of nationality, it is doing what in other cities elsewhere are doing when faced with traffic congestion problems. Read more

Towards the end of a wide-ranging interview on Cadena Ser Radio yesterday morning the Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya said that there were a number of forthcoming challenges for the Spanish Government including the bilateral negotiation between the UK and Spain of a new status for Gibraltar.
She left unclear what the Spanish view of that new status would be, says the GSD.
Her exact words were: “tenemos grandes retos delante por delante hay que aprobar un fondo de recuperación en Europa, hay que negociar el Brexit y un nuevo estatus para Gibraltar entre España y el Reino Unido…” Read more

Unlocking Gibraltar is a bag of mixed messages!
It is another important week in the ‘unlocking of the rock’ and of returning to what can be deemed at this stage as a post-Covid normality!
Our public health experts have displayed a sure footed approach in handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Though at the same time, I wouldn’t be true to myself or to what I have previously penned in this newspaper, in that the expert and political management of this health emergency has been at times confusing.
